TEHRAN – The interim Friday prayer leader of Tehran has said the Islamic Republic will by no means accede to any negotiation with the U.S. under the “irrational conditions” set out by the White House.

“The U.S. has pinned all its hopes on the issue that it would put pressure on Iran for the negotiation,” Ayatollah Mohammad Emami Kashani said, addressing worshipers in Tehran, Tasnim reported.

“Iran would never bear the burden of such a negotiation that they (U.S. officials) are seeking,” he said, adding that Iran’s stance on the issue is the same as what Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has announced.
